Welcome NutLugs Members!
This is NutLugs first Newsletter. We appreciate those who have been to NutLugs.com since launch March 20, 2006 and joined as a member. We have had over 100,000 hits! By now you have seen our website and its unique offerings. Sure, many websites offer Classified Ads, Tech Forums, and Links - but are they put together in such a layout that is really catered to you, the hobbysists - the person working in their garage, carport, or literally under the old shade tree? NutLugs offers a layout that allows you to click right to the company you are seeking without having to use the correct keyword. Simply put your criteria in the search page and you will be pretty close to what you are looking for with that first click - why use a general commercial search engine? They simply bring you the world (Results 1 of 10 of 450,000 found) when all you wanted was an original windshield wiper for your 1948 Chevrolet.

COMMUNICATION ABILITIES
NutLugs was developed with a strong sense of ease of communication among members. We all know everyone at some point requires assistance with their car restoration or modification project so we have multiple tools in place to help you find assistance. Our communication tools include:
- Auto Forum
- Member to Multiple Member Message (My Cars, My Categories)
- Member to Member Communication - when you see another members name, simply click on their member name and you will have the ability to send them a note
ALL communication through NutLugs is delivered to your email account. You don't have to login and 'check' messages on NutLugs. Your email address is private so no one can see it, but to be friendly to use, we send all messages to your email account. Then you can login and respond.

NutLugs IMPROVEMENTS
- Classified ads on the homepage. The most recent posted ads are rotated through the homepage.
- Highlighted Products - not necessarily New Products, but items companies want to bring to your attention and you can search by category through this list as it grows, they never go away!
- My Cars/My Categories - we have corrected the bug on these lists. You can now select multiple topics and simple select SAVE once and all your selections are saved. We welcome you to go back into these areas and re-attempt to list in each category. This is a very unique communication tool which will become much more effective with more users registered. We have also added a counter showing how many members have registered for each topic.
- Search box is also located right on the homepage

We have many, many more additions on the horizon. We are continually developing. Many additions are coming from you, the members! We welcome you to click on 'Read About NutLugs Here' on the homepage to learn more about the future of NutLugs. One big addition will be the new NutPedia - the Automobile Library. This will be built by you, the members. If you need information to help research a particular vehicle, it will be listed in this section.
Most importantly, the website depends on the members for participation and success.

REQUEST
We would like to have each member enter a question into the Auto Forum. The Auto Forum is very unique in a couple of ways. It does not require you to visit each day to seek a response to your posting, you will be notified by email once someone has responded to your posting. It is also one of the most extensive lists on the internet for the automotive hobbyists. We have plans to break down topics into more detail if necessary. |
A lot of effort has been put into the development of NutLugs for the belief that it will become the website of choice for the hobbyists. We are striving to keep NutLugs free for as long as possible to the members. This is difficult due to the development and hosting costs of getting developed, launched, and maintained. As of now, we are keeping NutLugs free at least until Labor Day - so enjoy!
